Since January 7, 2023, amendments to the Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations (CANFER) have been officially in effect in Canada. To better protect public health by limiting exposure to formaldehyde, a volatile substance that can be emitted by certain products made from composite wood (such as particleboard, plywood, or MDF).
