Oak flooring: three looks, same premium quality
Discover how nuance, variation and the V+ option transform the natural character of oak to suit your decor.
Oak is a classic North American hardwood, known for its distinctive open grain and expressive texture. Its warm appearance comes from golden to reddish-brown tones and prominent grain patterns that bring visual depth and natural character to any space.
Strong and durable, Oak adapts beautifully to a wide range of finishes — from soft matte to rich gloss — highlighting the wood’s vibrant, textured personality. It’s a timeless choice for both authentic and modern interiors.
Nuance
Oak Nuance showcases a natural diversity of color and pattern, from golden blond to warm reddish-brown. Its open grain reveals flowing lines and gentle contrasts, emphasizing the species’ inherent richness. The result is a look that blends warmth, movement, and authenticity.
NATURAL COLOR
Relatively uniform with a slight variation in color.
PRESENCE OF KNOTS
No healthy knots accepted. Small open knots and holes may be accepted, but they must be filled.
CRACKS AND SPLITS

MINERAL STREAKS
Small streaks accepted up to 150 mm (6 in)
MARKS AND CHECKS
None for most species (white oak naturally shows some surface marks and checks in limited quantities, which is not a defect.)
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Slight abnormal color variations accepted (e.g. tool marks, stains on slats, discoloration, bluing, etc.)
(*) In the hardwood flooring industry, there is an accepted allowance of up to 5% for pieces that may be misgraded or off-grade. This means that while the vast majority of the flooring will meet our high-quality manufacturing standards, it is possible to find a small percentage of pieces with imperfections or defects. This allowance is standard across the industry and ensures that any minor variations in grading are within an acceptable range.

Variation
Oak Variation highlights the natural richness and expressive character of the species. Boards display a range of tones, from golden blond to deeper brown shades, with more noticeable contrasts between heartwood and sapwood. Its open, dynamic grain enhances the floor’s visual movement, revealing the depth and authenticity of oak. This appearance achieves a harmonious balance between natural texture and timeless elegance.
