White quarter-sawn oak flooring: two looks, same premium quality

Discover how nuance and the V+ option transform the natural character of oak to suit your decor.

White Oak Rift & Quartered is defined by its linear grain and outstanding dimensional stability, achieved through a specialized sawing method that combines rift and quarter cuts. This process highlights the species’ distinctive medullary rays, producing a refined, elegant pattern that subtly reflects light.

Its clean, architectural look — with tones ranging from light beige to golden brown — makes it a preferred choice for lavish interiors seeking precision, balance, and natural sophistication.

Nuance

White Oak Rift & Quartered Nuance offers a rich and nuanced visual subtlety. Light hues blend with warm golden undertones, while medullary rays create delicate shimmering effects. This appearance balances the precision of the cut with the warmth of the wood — refined yet naturally expressive.

(*) In the hardwood flooring industry, there is an accepted allowance of up to 5% for pieces that may be misgraded or off-grade. This means that while the vast majority of the flooring will meet our high-quality manufacturing standards, it is possible to find a small percentage of pieces with imperfections or defects. This allowance is standard across the industry and ensures that any minor variations in grading are within an acceptable range.

Wood is a natural, noble material. Each board is unique and may display variations in color, grain, and natural characteristics consistent with the selected grade.

Variations from box to box are therefore expected and are an inherent part of the product’s authenticity. They do not constitute manufacturing defects.

To ensure a balanced and harmonious distribution of natural variation, Preverco strongly recommends opening and blending a minimum of 3 to 5 boxes simultaneously during installation. This practice allows tonal differences, contrasts, and natural features to be evenly distributed across the installed surface.

When installation is performed by a third party, it is recommended that the homeowner:

  • attend the installation when possible, and/or
  • clearly communicate aesthetic expectations prior to the start of installation.

Natural characteristics may be positioned strategically depending on the desired visual outcome.

For example:

  • If a more uniform and understated look is desired, boards with more pronounced knots or stronger contrast may be installed in closets, cuts, or less visible areas.
  • Conversely, if a more rustic and expressive ambiance is preferred, these features may be prioritized in open living spaces.

Any board deemed ‘’less desired’’ should be set aside prior to installation. Once installed, it is considered accepted.

Proper planning and clear communication are essential to achieving a final result aligned with aesthetic expectations.
